Today I went to the Millington Museum and listened to guest speaker Pastor Daniel McVey speak about WWI. AND IT WAS GREAT! (here is a button to the Millington Museum in case you want to see their upcoming events. ) I went with another Mayville volunteer you all know Marilyn Patterson. If you look at our pictures of the day you will see us wearing a German pickle helmet and another German helmet. I am torn between telling you all now the cool stuff he said or saving it for my upcoming WWI fundraiser book for the Mayville Museum. Mr. McVey was very informative and has tons of knowledge about WWI. For one thing his relative fought against the USA during WWI. Also it is really rare for him to have this Bayonet, which I felt and it is really dangerous. Mr. McVey has actual artifacts given to him from his relative. He has a WWI field desk, hand guns, costly trench art, medals, pictures, stories, uniforms, a mess kit, binoculars, rifles, a trench match, lots of stuff.
